Another school year is upon us and it's time to start thinking about the upcoming events that the Office of Global Programs have scheduled. See below for information about upcoming events in the 2019-2020 academic year.

International Coffee Hour - The Office of Global Programs hosts International Coffee Hour every Friday during the semester from 11:00 am to noon in the Office of Global Programs 1st Floor Conference Room. It's open to all Alcorn students, staff, and faculty. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee or tea with tasty treats while meeting with friends, old and new, domestic and international, to learn about and discuss other countries, the state of the world, and important current events. Chinese Foreign Language Institute Hour - The Office of Global Programs is offering Mandarin Chinese language classes taught by Chinese Fulbright Foreign Language Assistant. The class is open to Alcorn students, faculty, and staff. If you wish to get academic credit for the course, please register for Global Programs 101 (GP101 - 40628 - OL1) for 3 hours of credit. There will be a cost for registering for this class. If you do not wish to get credit, there is no charge for the course. Click here for application to the Fall 2019 Chinese Language Institute.

Study Abroad Fair and Passport Drive Hour - The Office of Global Programs is having a Study Abroad Fair and Passport Drive on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm in the entrance area of the Dr. Clinton Bristow Jr. Dining Facility. There will be information about how to apply to study abroad, scholarship information, and Chinese Language Institute. There could be Study Abroad providers that will be on hand with information about their programs and to answer any questions you might have about their programs/services.

Benjamin Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship Workshops - The Office of Global Programs is conducting a number of Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship workshops during September. The Gilman Scholarship is open to US domestic students who are receiving or eligible to receive a Pell Grant. The dates and times have not been determined, but please check back soon for specific dates and times.
